Senior Laravel Developer

We are looking for a Senior Laravel Developer with at least 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications using the Laravel framework. The ideal candidate will have experience with the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of scalable web applications using PHP (Laravel Framework).
• Architect robust, secure, and high-performance backend systems to support complex business requirements.
• Manage and mentor a team of developers; conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements.
• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement improvements as needed.
• Oversee project timelines, sprint planning, and task allocation to ensure on-time delivery.
• Implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services to enhance the functionality of applications.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and systems to ensure clarity and consistency.
• Write clean, production-grade Laravel code daily, ensuring the highest coding standards.
• Take ownership of end-to-end feature delivery — from requirement discussion to deployment in production.
• Design and maintain scalable APIs and backend services to support front-end and mobile integrations.
• Handle code reviews, debugging, and resolution of production issues in a timely manner.
• Guide junior/mid developers by not just assigning tasks, but helping improve their problem-solving and coding skills.
• Work closely with stakeholders to translate business problems into effective technical solutions.
• Improve existing systems by refactoring code, optimizing performance, and reducing technical debt.
• Ensure proper security, logging, and monitoring practices are adhered to throughout development.
• Step in during crunch situations and unblock the team quickly to meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development using PHP, particularly with the Laravel framework.
• Strong knowledge of web development technologies, including MySQL, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
• Proficient in version control systems, especially Git.
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring development teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint planning.
• Experience with testing frameworks (PHPUnit, etc.) and ensuring code quality.
• Passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with containerization tools like Docker.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (Vue.js, React) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.) for deployment and scalability.
• Experience in building microservices architectures.
